As a dedicated mortgage advice team here at Manchestermoneyman, we would like to wish everyone very Merry Christmas, and a prosperous and healthy new year.
The values of properties in the UK have held themselves up well during the pandemic. This is down to a shortage of stock, undiminished consumer demand and the Stamp Duty Holiday (which is due to end in March of 2021).
If we’ve learnt anything about the property market in 2020, it’s that nothing will get in the way of a determined and hard working potential First-Time Buyer in Manchester from pushing through and doing whatever it takes to become homeowners!
We have predicted that going forward into 2021, even with unemployment levels on the rise, we fully expect here at Manchestermoneyman, that the consumer demand for buying property to continue upwards. With people spending more and more time at their homes, it’s understandable that people will eventually start looking for something bigger, better or with a nicer garden.
We also find around this time of year that people will start looking at their Remortgage options. These are people who are happy with their current home, but are looking to invest in their homes by expanding upon them or creating home offices, to name some examples. We have covered some of these topics in our guides, explaining why people choose to Remortgage For Home Improvements.

Once the vaccine is fully distributed and life starts to return to normality again, we strongly believe there will be many people out there who adopt a “life’s too short” approach to their lives, something that should be good for the economy as a whole, especially those involved with the UK property market.
